More than 3′ of snow and frigid temps didn’t stop our troop at this year’s Klondike Derby. In fact, it made the competition more fun! Twelve scouts and two adults participated in Lake Erie Council’s event January 28-29 at Beaumont Scout Reservation in Ashtabula County. The younger scouts competed in traditional derby events and team-building activities while the older scouts decided that the campsite needed a new shelter.
