Scouting Heritage and a Visit with 652’s First Eagle Scout
Scouts of Troop 652 continue to learn about the history of the troop and adults that had Scouting as part of their life.
During a discussion for the Scouting Heritage merit badge, troop members heard from four former Scouts including the first Eagle Scout from Troop 652 (Class of 1973). It was a pleasure to have Mr. Riewaldt attend and share about his experience!

Scout Sunday 2025
A Scout is Reverent. Reverence is integral to good character and citizenship.
Scout Sunday, typically held the Sunday before February 8, is the anniversary of Scouting. Scouts from 652 celebrated with parishioners during Mass at St Basil the Great Catholic Church - Brecksville OH. Thank you to St. Basil’s, Fr. Ryan Mann, and Deacon Rob Blackburn for their ongoing support of the Scouting program at the parish.

Claim Jumpers and Deputy Marshalls Klondike in January
Our troops participated in Lake Erie Council's Claim Jumpers and Deputy Marshalls Klondike in late January. An excited group of scouts and leaders headed to Beaumont Scout Reservation for the annual Scouting competition in the snow. Scouts visited stations and competed to earn points for the evening auction.

Putting the Outing in Scouting
It's not all about camping! In December, we had a “whirly” good time at Whirlyball for our troop holiday party!

Giving Thanks for Scouting
Our scouts and leaders are sharing their appreciation and gratitude for Scouting this Thanksgiving. Follow along with us this November on our Facebook page to learn about everything they are grateful for in 2024.

Troop Members Awarded Certificate of Merit
Calm. Level-headed. Well-trained.
When faced with a head injury caused by an accident at summer camp, these two scouts and two leaders demonstrated their First Aid training and reacted with great composure and calm. Justin and Tommy assessed the situation and, with the help of leaders Katrina and Shawna, stabilized their fellow scout and assisted the medical personnel that arrived on the scene.
At our recent troop court of honor, all four were presented the Certificate of Merit from Lake Erie Council, Boy Scouts of America for their quick thinking and actions. We are proud of their incredible effort during a formidable situation.
Thank you to LEC's Unit Service Director Michelle Cali and Safety Director Sarah Willamson for presenting the awards.
