Every Troop Deserves a Trained Youth Leader
Congratulations to Kody, Troy, Grady and Skye for completing National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) at Firelands Scout Reservation. These Scouts learned valuable leadership skills that will benefit themselves, and their units, for years to come. They endured, persevered and excelled through numerous thunderstorms, unseasonably cool temperatures and a tornado warning while learning, building friendships and having fun. Special thanks to Matthew and Molly for being on staff.
Congratulations, Ronin!

Reach for the Stars
In early May, the troop headed to Geauga Park District Observation Park for a terrific dark sky park program inside their planetarium. We also learned how a sundial works. Scouts got creative with campout cooking and tried some new, unique meals including campfire pizza and Dutch oven French toast. See photos at www.facebook.com/BSATroop652B
Earth Day Every Day
It was great to speak with all of the visitors at City of Brecksville's Earth Day event. Troop members, including scouts and leaders, shared about Scouting’s conservation efforts including Leave No Trace. They also demonstrated homemade fire starters made from recycled materials, and had a knot board that displayed the different types of Scouting knots. We appreciate the City of Brecskville for inviting us to attend and have a table at the event.
