Our troops participated in Lake Erie Council’s National Parks Klondike in January. With some crazy winter weather and a big storm impacting the area, an intrepid group of scouts and leaders headed into the Great Outdoors for a Scouting competition and winter activities at Beaumont Scout Reservation. The annual Klondike is a fun competition where scouts visit stations and compete to earn points. The event concludes with an auction for items and gear that can be used by the troop. Our boys’ troop was thrilled to win a new heavy-duty wagon and other useful camping gear at this year’s event.
