Summer Camp #1 at Seven Ranges SR
The FIRST WEEK of troop summer camp is in the books! In early June, scouts and leaders enjoyed a very hot week of activities and learning at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation in Kensington, Ohio. Scouts spent a week building a campsite gateway, canoeing, fishing, swimming, radio, rifle shooting, leatherworking, woodcarving and having many raucous games of Uno. They also participated in 7Ranges one-of-a-kind Pipestone program as first-year attendees. The unit had a blast and were glad to have chosen a different camp to attend.
Lending a Hand at Parish Picnic
A Scout is Helpful! 652B, 652G, Pack 652 and Crew 652 were happy to lend a hand or two at St. Basil's annual Parish Picnic on June 12. Scouts helped out by removing trash, running the games, and assisting parishioners during the event.
Welcome, New Scouts!
652B recently welcomed new scouts to the troop, and the boys joined seasoned troop members for their first troop campout in May. Camping with your buddies, while having fun and learning in the outdoors, is a great experience! See more photos on our Facebook page.
Scouts Trash the Trash Day
The first weekend of May, scouts and parents from 652B and 652G picked up litter, cut overgrown vegetation and cleared pathways on the Morgana Run Bike Trail in Slavic Village as part of Lake Erie Council’s Trash the Trash service event. We were glad to provide service to the community.
Medical Kits for Ukraine
Thank you to all the families and scouts who joined us to pack medical kits for Ukraine! Over 50 kits with basic medical supplies were created and dropped off at Lake Erie Council to be shipped overseas. We also want to thank Venture Crew 652 for helping our troop members with this service project.
April Campout
We set up an axe yard, practiced sawing and chopping skills, did lots of camp cooking, ate a lot(!!) of bacon and tacos, went on a hike and participated in Pack 652’s crossover ceremony. It was slightly dryer outdoors than our March campout!
Congratulations, Drew!

Mr. Bellmore Recognized for Years of Service
At our Court of Honor in March, Troop 652B recognized retired Scoutmaster Cliff Bellmore for providing many years of service to the boys' troop. Mr. Bellmore gave his time and energy as a volunteer leader, and guided the unit and many scouts for over 21 years. Thank you, Mr. Bellmore!!
