A Smashing Good Time at Fall Camporee
The boys’ troop recently took on the Bushmaster Challenge Camporee at Firelands Scout Reservation in Wakeman, OH. The campers, proud members of the Snack Patrol, had a blast doing an apple smash, duck races, tomahawk throwing, and different bushcraft skills. Check out some event photos and an apple smash video on our Facebook page.

Ready to Start Scouting?
It's join season for BSA! If you're ready to get involved and learn all that Scouting has to offer, we're here to welcome you. Our troop includes boys and girls ages 11-17. The boys meet on Wednesday evenings and the girls meet on Thursday evenings. Stop by for a visit or see more details about being a member of BSA and Troop 652.

Canoeing the Cuyahoga
Troop 652 scouts and their families spent an afternoon canoeing the Cuyahoga River. Over 30 people participated in the activity, which has become an annual favorite of our troop members. The group adventure included leisurely paddling, traveling through some exciting rapids, and a fun rope swing on the bank of the river.

Troop Members Sail USVI
Older troop scouts joined members of Venture Crew 652 for a high adventure trip to BSA's Sea Base St. Thomas in early August. The crew of 10 spent a week crewing a 50' sailboat, snorkeling coral reefs, swimming with sharks and sea turtles, and hiking ruins and trails on different islands in the U.S. Virgin Islands. They even enjoyed fresh seafood meals, caught right off the boat.

High Adventure at High Knoll Trail
Older scouts from our troop had a fantastic summer experience on the High Knoll Backpacking Trek in Hiwassee, VA. We joined BSA Troop 390 Fairlawn for the high adventure experience from June 26-July 2. Scouts and leaders backpacked through the Blue Ridge Mountains for five days and participated in horseback riding, mountainboarding, rock climbing, a paintball course, black powder shooting and other high adventure activities.

Summer Camp #2 at Camp Manatoc
And… we just wrapped up our troop's SECOND WEEK of summer camp, this time at Camp Manatoc. Scouts enjoyed a week of rank advancements, camp activities and merit badges. Our troop has a long history of attending this annual summer camp in Peninsula.

Summer Camp #1 at Seven Ranges SR
The FIRST WEEK of troop summer camp is in the books! In early June, scouts and leaders enjoyed a very hot week of activities and learning at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation in Kensington, Ohio. Scouts spent a week building a campsite gateway, canoeing, fishing, swimming, radio, rifle shooting, leatherworking, woodcarving and having many raucous games of Uno. They also participated in 7Ranges one-of-a-kind Pipestone program as first-year attendees. The unit had a blast and were glad to have chosen a different camp to attend.
